Matt Watson - Lead Vocalist

Matt is the front man for Boss Hogg and has sung with a number of different bands over the years. He has a nice clean vocal that is well suited to our range of songs.

Matt occasionally plays guitar on stage but only when we play as a four piece. ( Reluctantly it must be said )

Recently a guitar set up for slide and a set of harmonicas have been spotted in his music room so who knows, maybe we'll have a slightly different dimension creeping into the Boss Hogg sound when he's feeling brave enough.

Simon Dowling - Lead & Rhythm Guitar

Si is a very accomplished guitarist and has been gigging longer than the lot of us. His influences include Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Gary Moore (of course!), Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde, Slash, Jimi Hendrix and plenty of other notables.

One thing we never need to worry about when we choose a song is whether Si will be able to play it.

Si has a Les Paul Studio and a USA Fender Strat to call on, and is currently looking after Matt’s Les Paul Standard for him – it features quite a lot on stage at the moment! It all goes through a Marshall JCM2000 4x12.

Steve Elliott - Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals

Steve is a good solid bass player, nothing too fussy and keeps us all in check. ( musically of course ! )

Steve lends his talents to two other bands – a man in demand!

Check out our myspace for “Kazooee” for starters. A couple of Fender Basses are in the arsenal, played through a very nice sounding Hartke rig.

Steve is another keen songwriter and we already have a few of his creations on our MP3 players as work in progress. Watch this space!

Charlotte Pyatt ( Charl ) - Drums

Charl is the youngest member of the band.

A very natural player with great ear for authentic grooves. She occasionally throws a drum stick at Steve but swears it’s accidental..... We believe her!

Charl brings influences from the more recent decades and quite a few of the newer songs on the set are her input.

Charl's not into having a kit full of cymbals and cowbells and plays her coveted, unfussy and very cool Gretsch kit on stage at every gig.

Dave Harden - Keys

Dave was a late starter where gigging is concerned and Boss Hogg is the second band he's been part of.

Dave's input on the keys really fills in the blanks and adds real sparkle to our sound.

Dave's pride and joy is a Roland Fantom X8 as well as a Yamaha A4000 sampler.

Listen out for more synths, organs and pianos filtering through into some of our newer more modern tracks.

( Killers, Stereophonics and Kings of leon )
