Wetmore Whistle - June 6th 2009. 3rd time at the Whistle then , the Theartre of dreams , 2nd only to the Heart break bar Benidorm in a recent survey and the Heartbreak does have the weather !! Google Heart break bar Benidorm and watch the youtube , its an awesome place !!! Not going to try and be funny on this review , writers block is hitting hard at the moment. Just need to mention the usual appearance of legendry Pete Youngerman for 'Walking' and 'See the light' . Pete was recently voted the 'Coolest old bloke in the world' , easily brushing aside Jagger and co !!!! Another mention is for the 'Boss Hogg anthem' Dakota , played twice tonight as Matt was getting excited at the end (the rest of the band were suffering exhaustion) , its amazing how well this song goes down. Its seems the band have turned into a Whistle favorite by the size of the crowd and lets not forget the excellent rendition of 'crazy diamond' for Kim and Ian's 50th ?? wedding anniversary , Kim did drag out the kissing of the band members at the end of the song a little like one of Si's solo's but why not !!!! All in all a great night , capped of with a melancholy and slightly tippsy Matt getting all concerned about whether Charl will leave the band when she starts Uni , 2 things here , how dare she ? Plus , Charls is giving me drum lessons !!!!!
