'Rolleston Club'


Rolleston Club - 3rd time. Hey , Matts cars here , whats occuring , this is wrong. Hey Matt , your driving ? 'I know , its wrong !!!' I nearly turned round and went home , as I get older I can't handle change and this was change !!! Si walks in , oh my god , impersonation of a ghost , rumour has it he was full on Rock n Roll after the Buxton gig though ???? Anyway , Matt is so bored as he hasn't got beer that he decides he needs to occupy his mind , 'mmm , lets have the stage the other way round this time' , hey , Steve wasn't having any of it , I ran to the car for the blow-up clubs , Dave tried to stay neutral , Si didn't notice and Charls drums weren't being moved so she didn't care !! Haven't a clue whether the stage was moved round or not but stick to the beer Matt , it ain't right otherwise. Sound check complete , nobody here except for roadies , groupies , new groupies and kids and someone else. The band go on , the crowd must be 20 max , we always get this here , just wait till later it will be fine. Whats Ian doing now , is it a new Birdie dance he's trying out for Clares party , he's patting himself on the head , I'm wondering whether he expects people to join him or not , he's looking at Matt , perhaps Matt is sopposed to do the new Birdie dance on stage while singing , oh , it actually denotes that the vocals are toppy , just give Ian the desk , it would be way easier !!!! Half time I have a beer on everyones round , more people come in , band back on , me and Trudy give it a bit of dance floor action followed by others and its totally different , the same happens everytime they play here. Andy mentions that the crowd is the best thats been seen in ages . At one point there is an ageing couple (I'm sure they won't mind that) doing some kind off line dance , its was awesome , I couldn't follow to save my life but it was fun. Usual endless encores , well played . Special mention for Dave , used to hide round the corner and have the keys turned down but now a big part of the sound , well played. Well done Matt , top performance for saying you were sober . Steve , rock solid as ever and braver on the vocals , hey , room for more though. Charl , same as ever , brill . Si , well , his weekend on the beer , a tad jittery first half , second half , outragous tweaks and power stances to die for !!! The band have come along way in the last year , well played again.
