'The Wyggy'

The Hogg return to the Wyggy.Hey , I'm all behind with reviews and having been given a £2000 per week contract to write them and my very own page I can only apologise. Anyway, on with the job , return to the Wyggy , always a good gig with a good crowd , a firm favorite with the Burton music crowd. The gig earlier in the year was cancelled due to Matts man flu so the return was delayed but well worth waiting for. You never know whats going to happen here , last gig the sound check ladies wanted it turning down , this time up (going to cause problems later on). On come the band , and a special mention for Dave , where has the belly of Beeston gone ?? Looking way trim in an even trendier tee than usual , watch this boy go !!!! Shirley appears behind the bar , she is doing hand signals towards me that appears to mean , turn it down , quick word with Matt and its done. No , Shirley coming over again , too much bass , the glasses are dancing on the shelves (thats a new one for a Hogg gig) , agreed with her that it would be sorted at the break. Now , a worrying feature of gigs recently and highlighted at this one is this.....Ian does a hand gesture towards Si , Si turns round and twidles his Knob !!!! I thought it was a coincidence , but no , Ian does another hand gesture and Si turns around immediatly and twidles his Knob !!! Matts getting fed up with this , I mean , he's feeling left out so he glares at Ian as if to say , hand gesture me please , so Ian does , Matts instantly turns round and slides his knob up a little !?!?!? Oh no , this ain't ahppening surely ????? I was so embarrassed but it seemed to go over most peoples heads , some things must be in my imagination. Half time the bass was turned down , superb second set , as usual the crowd will not let them off stage , I have a worrying mini tourettes attack on the '69 front and its all over again. Did speak to Shirley next day , she really enjoyed it and thinks the Hogg are really talented , but chaps/Charl , she don't like dancing glasses behind the bar , be warned !!!!!
