Mmmmmm , Belly of Beeston , someone trying to out funny me then ???? Well Dave , what have you been eating ? So trendy yet so porky , Dave Harden , always seen the day of the gig strutting up and down Sadlergate eyeing up the latest fashions and the pies. I remember mates of mine back in the good old days paying over the odds for clothes from Sadlergate (his and hers , makes me vomit) but £80 for a Windy Miller tee is madness !! Remember , back at the Whistle soon and you have to limbo under the keys to take position and you'll knock 'em over with the Windy belly !!! Anyway , time to leave Dave alone (I know he can take it). Good looking venue this , good size and lots of regular bands. One happy drummer tonight , Doctor drums has passed her driving test (don't ask about the ballard). PA setup is a blast from the past , nearly had to get the blow-up clubs out again but it all got sorted. Now , I'm driving and being alcoholic its terrible waiting till half nine for the band to start but ten fifteen was ridiculous , its going to be a case of half a pint an hour !! As usual the show goes well , good crowd in early but dwindled a little towards the end (well it was bedtime). Strange action at the front of the crowd towards the end , looked as though some-one was dead in the crowd , thought we had got a repeat of the Altamont incident 40 years ago (remember the Hells Angels policing the Stones gig) , but no , it was all my imagination running away with me , probably hallusinating through lack of beer , the young lady got up and all was well. No tourettes antic's from me when sober and tired (think its cured anyway). Well played to the band , next gig in Manchester for the bikers and wait , wait a minute , just wait a minute , head groupie will not be there (don't cheer too loud Steve) , me and Trudy will be in Torquay witnessing Burton Albions promotion to the football league proper (Brewers , Brewers , Brewers) don't worry though , there will still be a gig review , accurate and honest as ever (4000 bikers) !!!! Hope you all cope without me LOL , check Charls cymbal stands are tightened properly please Matt , Brewers , Brewers , I wonder if I drink loads and loads of beer it will help them get the point needed ????????? Well , I'll give it a go !!
